Paula's Best Dishes :)---Morning Munchies

One of my absolute FAV shows :) Paula is just the bees knees !!!

Bobby Deen is stopping by for breakfast. He's cooking up the perfect Egg White Omelette with Spinach and Tomato and his secret recipe for the best Peaches and Cream Muffins in the South. Paula joins in with her Smashed Potato Cakes and Peppered Bacon... And a Spiced Iced Tea. So pick your favorite recipe, cause the morning munchies are alive and well in Savannah, Ga.

Mmmmm, here's two of my fav's from this episode.....

Hot Spiced Tea

4 servings
Ingredients

* 4 cups water
* 4 tea bags
* 2 sticks cinnamon
* 10 whole cloves
* 4 cups pomegranate juice
* 4 cups apple cider
* Garnish: cinnamon sticks and clove-studded lemon slices, optional

Directions

In a large saucepan add the water and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Remove from the heat and add the tea bags, cinnamon, and cloves. Let steep, covered, for 20 minutes. Strain and return the tea to the pan, discarding the solids. Stir in the pomegranate juice and apple cider. Cook over medium-low heat for 10 minutes. Reduce the heat to low and keep warm until ready to serve. When ready to serve pour into cups or mugs and garnish with cinnamon sticks and lemon slices, if desired.

Peaches and Cream Muffins
12 muffins

Ingredients

* Nonstick cooking spray
* 2 cups self-rising flour
* 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
* 1 cup sour cream
* 1/4 cup sugar
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 1 (15-ounce) can sliced peaches, drained and chopped into 1/4-inch pieces

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Coat the cups of a 12-cup muffin tin with cooking spray and set aside.

In a large bowl, mix together the flour, butter, sour cream, sugar, and vanilla. Gently fold in the peaches.

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared muffin cups. Bake until golden and a toothpick inserted in the center of a muffin comes out clean, about 30 to 35 minutes. Let the muffins cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Turn out onto a serving platter and serve immediately or transfer to a wire rack to cool completely, before storing.

Mmmmm....Shrimp

Shrimp Salad-Stuffed Tomatoes

Hollowed-out tomatoes were the secret to elegant lunches in the '50s - and they deserve a comeback today. Look for bright red, aromatic tomatoes without any mushy spots or discolorations. You can also stuff these tomatoes with Bacony Barley Salad with Marinated Shrimp or Curried Tofu Salad.

Ingredients

• 1 pound peeled cooked shrimp (21-25 per pound; thawed if frozen), tails removed, chopped
• 1 stalk celery, finely diced
• 1/4 cup minced fresh basil
• 10 Kalamata olives, pitted and finely chopped
• 1 medium shallot, minced
• 2 tablespoons reduced-fat mayonnaise
• 1 tablespoon white-wine vinegar
• Pinch of freshly ground pepper
• 4 large ripe tomatoes, cored

Directions

Combine shrimp, celery, basil, olives, shallot, mayonnaise, vinegar and pepper in a medium bowl. Stir to combine.

Carefully hollow out the inside of each tomato using a melon baller or small spoon; reserve the scooped tomato for another use (see Tip). To serve, fill each tomato with a generous 1/2 cup of the shrimp salad.

Save the scooped-out tomato insides to use in fresh tomato soup or pasta sauce. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 6 months.

Tomorrow be prepared because I'm researching my Kabobs ! :)

Anniversary Present <3

So I was planning a huge party for my Parents Silver Anniversary....25th.
And I was completely prepared with all the plans until I found out that the sorry to say Loser of the family was moving home to live with my grandma....hence it was completely impossible to not invite her to the party. Now when I say Loser, I mean it in every sense of the word, anything that you can do to completely F*** up your life before the age of 17 has been done by this girl !
Safe to say....shes not liked much by my completely overprotective judgemental, too Perfect for words Mother...there is no way in hell my mom would let this girl step foot in my house, her eyes glaze over when someone mentions her name.....

Anyway so with words that she was coming back to NY, I panicked. Because how do I avoid inviting a family member that is living with my grandma and shes entirely too stupid to understand that no one likes her. (harsh) Oh well. Simply putting just my grandparents name on the invite they would drag her anyway.........by the way Julie**** (name changed for the protection of my safety, lol.) is now 22 with one kid that she treats like shit and pregnant with another......Cool. Sooooo glad that these poor children are doomed for the rest of their lives. She doesnt want them, yet continues to get knocked up ! Wow !
News Flash: Keep your legs Shut or Maybe get some help.
Now Julie*** is not completely stable, I mean she has mental issues but does anyone want to get her help, Of course not !

Anywhoooooo.....

OMG. So back to my Parents.
I cancelled the party, even the idea of a party and made them a super cute basket instead :D
My parents LOVE new foods I mean like Loooove them. and we have the most killer vegetable garden I have ever seen !
Soooo I went to the ever popular Harry and David to hunt down some dips and spreads for bagettes and cooking
:D

So here's what I got:
Fresh bagettes
Fresh Veggies and Spices
Red Pepper and Cheese Dip
Charred Pineapple Dip (excellent mixed with cream cheese)
Pepper and Onion relish with Zinfandel
Ancho Chili with pepper dip (great baked on pork chops)
And a few other deliscious grilling sauces and dips :)


I ended up getting a shit ton of stuff filling a super cute basket that can later be used to bring in veggies from the garden :D
I also filled the basket with a Homemade simple salsa recipe and allll the ingredients freah veggies and spices to complete the recipes :)

Cute idea Huh ??? I totally thought so !
Well my mom like fell over she was so excited ! Which made it all so much better.
And of course Prince Charming said, You never fail to amaze me ! :)

Take a look at the Amazing Fresh and Simple Salsa.....absolutely delish on chips and grilled onto chicken, chops even steaks, we also added some into a baked dish that we made :)

The City, The Hills ???

Expect big changes when new episodes of The Hills and The City start up again on Sept. 29, moving from Monday nights to Tuesdays. The Hills will air at 10 p.m. (EST) followed by The City at 10:30 p.m. (EST).

Liz Gateley, senior vice president of series development for MTV and executive producer of both shows, tells PEOPLE that the new day is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the switch-ups.

Most notably, Kristin Cavallari has replaced Lauren Conrad on The Hills. “Kristin has brought new life to the show,” Gateley says. “She is the same Kristin we know and love — not afraid to mix things up. Her presence has really changed every dynamic within the cast, especially with Audrina [Patridge] and Justin Bobby.”

As for newlyweds Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, Gateley says they may be taking another big step in their relationship. “Heidi and Spencer are entering some interesting new territory of considering parenthood,” she says.

Over on the East Coast, Whitney Port may not be considering motherhood, but she will be dealing with a new boss.

“A lot has changed in The City,” Gateley says. “We shifted the focus of the show significantly from a relationship drama to a workplace drama. Olivia has a new job and an amazing new boss at Elle magazine. Whitney is focused a lot more on her work now that she’s single, and Kelly Cutrone — who I love — takes on a much bigger role in the show.”

But the focus on fashion remains the same. “The show feels much more like a reality Devil Wears Prada,” Gateley says. “Our whole shooting style changed. You’ll see much more action and less people sitting and talking, which was an intentional choice we made in making over the show. There are fireworks on the jobs constantly — it’s very exciting and fun to watch what it’s like to work in the world of New York fashion.”

Thats ME......

Yay !
I am officially 20 !!!!
I can't explain the excitement and fear that I have experienced.
I know everyone keeps telling me that's so young.
I understand that but its the leaving my childhood part that's scary.
20 is just a number and next year it will be 21 and then soon 40, and so on...
I know someday I will be wishing it was 20. But aside from having an absolute PERFECT PARTY and a perfect week. I was not happy to be turning 20. Wow on average that means I have lived 1/5 of my life ! AHHHHHH !!!!
Now That's scary !
But then I think to myself holy cow, I have done and accomplished SO MUCH in the past ten years ! I mean I was ten ! Shit !
Thats crazy ! Ten years !
Seems so short, but looking back it was absolutely wonderful.
And the lessons and experiences I have lead could not have been any better :)

In it, 19-year-old California girl ''Jane Roberts'' becomes famous for living her life on a reality TV show called...L.A. Candy. She works as an intern in L.A. She has boy troubles, a falling-out with a girlfriend, and a sweet, stunned affect. So far, ''Jane'' hasn't gotten a three-book deal. But then, there are still two books to go.

Is there nothing LC can't do? Well, uh, yes. Write a ''novel.'' Authors need to be judged as writers, not as multitasking buzz generators — even if the person in question is a blithe It Girl known for remarks like ''Shoes make me happy'' and ''I don't feel girly without long hair.'' And even if her book tests well with her target readers. Publishers these days are laying off staff and cutting the number of titles on their lists; the book business is suffering along with everyone else, and there's little room to gamble on an untried writer, however exciting that new voice. Yet with one eye on marketing opportunities and the other on TV ratings, these same publishers have given the okay to a larky novice who'd be the first to admit that she just thought authoring might be, you know, cool.

In this, of course, Conrad joins an elite group of dilettantes and debutants who have already heeded the advice of English teachers through the ages and written about what they know, including Fabio (bodice rippers), Naomi Campbell (thinly disguised tales of a supermodel), Pamela Anderson (thinly disguised tales of a bazoomy sex kitten), and Nicole Richie (thinly disguised tales of a thin socialite). But books aren't handbags or cosmetic lines, products devised to extend a famous person's brand. Any celebrity can choose between zipper A and magnetic snap B to ''design'' a reasonably trendy satchel. Very few are as talented as Carrie Fisher, Steve Martin, or Hugh Laurie — highly literate polymaths who just happen to have found fame as performers first and as authors later. Those who enjoy Kirk Douglas, Jimmy Buffett, or Mick Foley might be drawn to the literary endeavors that bear their names. Still, most of us would be better served by renting Spartacus, listening to ''Margaritaville,'' or watching Foley's old WWF videos starring Mankind vs. The Undertaker.

As for Lauren Conrad's novel, it's a dismal portent of the future of pop culture, disguised as escapist fiction aimed at young-adult LC fans who might like a bookshaped object as a keepsake now that Conrad has left her popular show. The author (or ''authors,'' allowing for the possibility of anonymous assistance) follows that write-what-you-know credo faithfully. And perhaps that's why the book's most deeply felt scene involves Jane, a member of her tech crew, and a cordless microphone. ''Well,'' the crew member tells young Jane as she prepares for her first night of living on camera, ''I'm gonna have you tape this microphone to the inside of the front of your bra and run the wire around your side, then I'll clip the mike pack on the back of your bra.''

The Proposal......

The fast approaching Season Finale of The Bachelorette was a big event in my house !
We had cake and drinks and lots of assumptions of the finales outcome....

I'm sorry to say the season ended with tears-although it generally does.
This Season however they were extremely sad tears. Followed by unexpected happy tears.
I have to say I fell in love with Kiptyn- head over heels.
And Ed, well I felt he was a bit Nerdish :(

But after seeing their chemistry together when she could truly express her hidden feelings- their happiness lt up the screen.
Jillian absolutely beemed when she accepted Ed's proposal of marriage with the 60,000 $$$$ Neil Lane Diamond ! Holy mackrel !

It was not my choice of rings- but gorgeous in it's own.

Jillian looked absolutely stunning in her off white flowing gown.
(of which I wish I owned the clone hehe)

In the end I guess Jillian is happy, and that is after all the point.
But I felt for Kiptyn, really did.
And Reid. Damn it. Broken heart twice !
That man was undoubtably in love.

And his return to the Season Finale was nothing short of passionate !
I loved him :(

Four Questions for Jill however,

1. Ed left you once for his career- don't you think that might come back into effect??

2. A Malfunction in the bedroom would be a major Red Flag to most women, and you seemed awfully concerned that, that Passion and Fire wasn't there at first, won't that be a problem ????

3. Do you really like those flipping Green shorts !!!!???

4. Do you use Opi (Bubble Bath) nail polish---I love it !????

All in all- I loved this season, and the outcome I guess was spectacular, they seem in-imaginably crazy in love ! <3

The second proposal of the season was a bit more comedic, The Proposal starring Ryan Reynolds and the lovely Sandra Bullock !
Nothing short of Amazing.
Absolutely funny to the T.
Excellent story and heart warming at the same time :)
