Absolutely Delish ! I was watching Paula's Party last night and she made this, it looked so fabulous I had to try it, so I made it for dessert tonight and I will tell you, between 5 people, yeah only 5 !
the entire thing was gone in like 2 hours !
Really Try It, it's that good :)

Chocolate Bread Pudding

Recipe courtesy Paula Deen, 2007

Serves:
8 to 10 servings

Ingredients

* 1 loaf French or Italian bread, cut into cubes (about 15 cups)
* 3 cups milk
* 1/3 cup heavy cream
* 1/4 cup coffee flavored liqueur
* 1 cup sugar
* 1 cup packed light brown sugar
* 1/4 cup cocoa powder
* 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
* 2 teaspoons pure almond extract
* 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
* 6 eggs, lightly beaten
* 8 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
* Pecan Rum Flambe Sauce, recipe follows

Directions

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.

Lightly grease a 13 by 9-inch baking dish fill with bread cubes.

In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, cream, and liqueur. In another bowl, combine the granulated and brown sugars with the cocoa powder and mix well. Add the cocoa mixture to the milk mixture and whisk to combine.

In a medium bowl, add the vanilla extract, almond extract, and the cinnamon to the beaten eggs. Combine the egg mixture with the milk mixture and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour the mixture evenly over the bread cubes; let stand, stirring occasionally, for at least 20 minutes, or until the bread has absorbed most of the milk mixture. Bake the pudding for 1 hour, or until set; a cake tester inserted into the center of the pudding should come out clean.

Serve the pudding warm or cold, with Pecan Rum Flambe, dessert sauce.
Pecan Rum Flambe Sauce:

1 stick butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup chopped pecans

1/4 cup dark rum

In a large skillet, melt the stick butter and add brown sugar, stir together. Add the pecans and cook until sugar has caramelized over medium-high heat. Turn off the stove and pour in the rum. Stand back and carefully light with a long lighter. Be careful; a flame will shoot up above the pan. As the alcohol cooks out, the flame will die down. Serve over chocolate bread pudding.

Celebration of THursday, Mad Gab, and the Number 100 !!

For one I suck, I had no idea I was at my 10oth Post !!!! WOO HOO ! What a milestone!

That is exactly how stressed I am, I have entirely too much on my plate right now,
I can't keep up with the amount of work that I have
and my roommate and I live in an absolute pigsty !

School is redic this semester, for one Stats=DEATH. Two, I have entirely too much homework in Advanced Graphics and Advertising adn Developmental Psych occupies my mind so my thinking in all other aspects of life are swayed. We Party Lots, Laugh More, and Sleep little to none, my life is completely depicted right now by the song I Love College by Asher Roth find him on youtube, great song. Also speaking of youtube, look up Kittens inspired by kittens, No I'll give you a link, here you go watch that ! It will make your day, I'm not kidding.
So yes back to school, nah nevermind thats enough on school.
We had our weekly homemade Sunday dinner and a movie this week, Miss Ashlee made a delish Chicken Asparagus Dish with white rice- out of this world! The week before I made a garlic ziti pasta bake with fabulous italian bread. About 5 of us like to start the week out with a homemmade meal, it feels good on Sundays to have warm yummy food and good friends to spend the night with. We never get any work done but oh, well. It's College haha.

So were decorating martini glasses sometime this weekend, YAy ! Erin and Syd made their papermache letters to match ours this week. And speaking of the weekend, tomorrow night to kick it of were going out for Sushi !
Ashlee and Felicity haven't experienced the wonderful world of Sushi !
And I have decided it is time for them to become one of the obsessed !
MMmmm and Sushi, for Valentines day, Prince Charming and I went to a place back home called Plum Garden, JApanese deliciosity ! OMG- they made it at our table, it was like a dinner show, extremely entertaining and so yummy !
We got lost ont eh way but it was an adventure. Memories everyday. :)

Hmmm so whats next, I love the song Hero by Akon, have you heard it. It's not the most politically correct song, but oh well. The language is a little explicit, but I love it ! Akon's voice is just mezmerizing to me.

With this award, I'm supposed to list 10 honest things about myself. So....

1. Paranoia is my middle name ! Figuratively

2. Ummmm I'm terrified of flying-which could be a huge issue seeing that I what to travel everywhere haha

3. I'm incredibly jumpy- which is directly correlated to my paranoia I assume haha- literally the tiniest things make me jump, even if I expect it haha

4. Post- Its- absolute obsession! Don't ask me how many packages I have I can't count that high.

5. Funny thing: Sophomore year in High School I began to collect Dum Dum wrappers, with the goal in mind of making rainbows out of them, like Mod Podging them onto the boots- I thought this was the coolest idea ever- needless to say never happened- but I have almost 3000 !!!!! I can't part with them hahah

6. Within the past few days one of my best friends was taken from me, he was a brother to me. I have never experienced so much pain. The feeling is still so surreal. But I know he's watching us, and he's happy where he is. "Nothing is fair in love, but love is what gave him his life, and love is what will get us through together."

7. I laugh entirely too much, wait there is no such thing haha- I've added about 12 years to my life :)

8. Chalk- I hate it- no idea why- couldn't tell you why haha- just can't stand it ! Chalkboard, never- Tum's even make me cringe.

9. I'm in love with country music ! The stories mean everything to me

10. I'm writing a novel. A fantastic one too I'll add. :)

The Worlds greatest Loss

So today I wanna talk about love, not puppy love or even romantic love but love lost.
I lost one of my best friends yesterday morning, he was more than a friend he was a brother, not biologically but certainly in heart.

His name was Jacob, and he is an Angel.
He changed everyones life that he touched, he was incredible so full of life and love and fantastic things to offer the world !!! He put every person in this world before himself, and always will. To be so young and already be such an amazing person is something that is a rare find in this world. He lives Forever with us.

For the first time in life, I think I'm experiencing pain, I'm empty and I suddenly feel alone. Reminiscent on the past and the days I have spent with him. The things that we talked of, and the laughs we shared will be of my greatest memories.
Never to be forgotten.
Jacob was 16 years old, not old enough or nearly ready to leave this world.
Yet his life was taken from him, and he from all of us. I know that he is looking at us right now and I know that he is in the best place he can be.
It's hard not to be selfish and wish he was still with us, but it is important to stay strong for him, as this is what he would wish for.
But the pain fills our hearts, as does confusion and endless questions.

Nothing is fair in love, but remembering that love is what gave him his life is the important thing, and love is what will get us through all of this together.
I can't help but think how unfair it is that someone so young can be taken from the world. Jacob was someone that no one will ever forget- the world lost an amazing person, but God aquired an amazing angel.

What exactly is umami?

Not sour, sweet, bitter, salty- but Umami
This is basically that taste of deliciousity- like out of this world flavor and combinations of fantastic tastes :)
Example- specialty macaroni and cheeses, stuffed herb pork chops, things full of spices, its that home-cooked delicious taste that can't be replicated- however it can because the Japanese are doing it :) And doing it very well !

I have very little to say about this weekend, it was crazy and the best medicine for the first week back :) We had the ultimate of a girly weekend just hanging out. The weekend started with a brutally cold walk to P and C for milk and chocolate syrup :)
Emmm and add a few hours a gross college dinner and some vanilla vodka and we have party time :) Chocolatini's = Absolutely Delicious :)
Then Saturday we did it all over again, Chocolatini's one too many, and 2 bottles of wine later-- and after a few bad decisions---I was one sloshed individual !
Woke up today feeling pretty snazzy- actually still drunk- ugh !
Anyway hope everyone's weekend was fantastic as well :)

OH my bad

Bloggy Reunion ! I suck, and I am completely aware of this. I have been so busy and running around like a crazy woman, planning surprise parties and random day trips for the hell of it, and of course packing for my return to college life ! New Room = AMAZING !!!!
Happiness Again and I'm sure this is a mutual feeling with our X-Roomies....bad situation. Anyway My break was fantastic and full of good things and of course lots f things to talk about:) God, I've been waiting so long to get back to the world of Blogging ! I've missed you all dearly. First week, well I guess half of a week is finally over ! Phew ! And the weekend is here, I have quite the load this semester-- a little bit crazy I must say ! UGH ! One word Statistics and it equals DEATH ! Anyway the rest look ok, time consuming as usual but ok... Oh the joys of being an Art major ! HEhe, I'm just kidding its my life :)
Speaking of life, my novel is coming along quite wonderfully, if your a new reader, and have no idea what I am talking about haha, Im not crazy, I am actually writing a novel. Actually I guess that is a little crazy. College, Work, Projects out the Wahzoo !, small independent business and writing a novel ! All while dealing with being a human and discovering new things and joys in life. Of course that comes along with lots of emotions ! So yes I'm very busy ! I apologize, but I am not yours again, I promise to be a faithful blogger again. (Pinky)
And I will soon give you an excerpt for my book :) Im so excited :)

On a different note, AHHHHHHH my shows have returned ! One Tree Hill, Secret Life of the American Teenager, The Bachelor, and True Beauty-Im slowly falling in love with it :)

But One Tree Hill I have already expressed my obsession, I'm just in love with that show :) Everything about it is fantastic to me. And I can relate with it ! SO recap- Peyton is pregnant- YES ! And I cried when Lucas came home the first time- it was the most touching sentimental moment on the show yet- well thats a lie- there's always adorable things in that show that make me want what Haley and Peyton have ! :) For the most part I do but the things Lucas says, come on ! What girl wouldn't fall ?
And Mia and Chase - LOVE THEM ! Hmm lets see- Brooke kicked major ASS ! Finally that scumbag has been put away-- and I'm starting to see the mother daughter bond in her and Sam that I have been waiting for :) And Julian ad Brooke-- Love the couch scene ! :)

But the Bachelor this season-- How cute is he ! ?
OMG and Ty, hes the cutest ! What an amazing man- you can't help but fall in love with him -- I cry probably twice an episode-- Really his love for his son is absolutely amazing ! I mean incredible- that is the nicest thing to see, thats the dad that everyone wants ! Ahhhh, I think I'm falling for him haha.
My prediction thus far have been on target ! Hate Erica, such a drama queen. I'm not a fan of Megan but their little tiff was totally all on Erica not on Megan and I think just about anyone can see that- Lauren needs to go next week, squealer, granted Jason asked but your not there for the girls or to be involved in their drama, your their for him. So when Megan said she never talked about any of the girls, it was all about the two of them in their convo's I totally rocked with that ! So true !
I'm glad Raquel left- didn't like her at all !

Jillian- so cute- loved their first date- love them
OMG adn Stephanie-- I've been on her board since the start ! I love her-- and their date ! OMG ! that was the sweetest thing ever ! :) Cried ! Of course

But all in all-- this season has been incredible and its just starting ! Yay !
